The Active Eye Board, used in orthoptic rehabilitation, makes the eyes stronger, more resistant to fatigue.
It strengthens the oculomotor muscle structure, re-educates the coordination and proprioception of the oculomotor muscles, and acts on the posture in the descending chain.
Level A is the first level of difficulty, recommended for novice users.
How it works :
The Active Eye Board is placed in front of the patient's nose, either horizontally, vertically, or according to the desired muscle work.
The patient must see two lines that intersect in two points of the same colour.
He must try to move the intersection of these two lines onto the other points, so as to work on divergence and convergence of the eye. It is easier to work with the central line at first, then with other lines (up, down, right, left) to increase the difficulty.
If the patient is unable to cross two lines and distinguishes these lines separately, it is desirable that the patient starts working on one side only (by closing or hiding the opposite eye).
The work can be carried out for 20 minutes per day, maximum.
